Winter Light: LGBT Books, Authors, and More (1-22-11)

A Celebration of the Gay Alliance Library & Archives

Join the Gay Alliance of the Genesse Valley for books to borrow, books to buy, authors to meet, and food to eat!

This an an event to delight the book lovers in the LGBT community! It’s an open house to meet the Gay Alliance of the Genesse Valley (GAGV) library volunteer staff members and tour their new library where archival materials and special collections will be on display.

There will also be a large book sale and local GLBTA authors will be on hand to discuss, sell, and sign their books.

Featured readers include:

Lyndsey D’Arcangelo – lesbian poet and novelist from Buffalo. http://www.lyndseydarcangelo.com/

To top it off, as if you needed more, there will be lots of edible treats to warm you up inside. Come spend a mid-winter’s mid-day celebrating the wonderful community library!

The celebration will occur on Saturday, January 22, 2011, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m at the Gay Alliance Library & Archives, located at 875 E. Main St. Rochester, NY 14605. The event is FREE.
