Ace

Ace took a spin in a Cabriolet.
Incautious capriole. His sobriquet
betrayed the gambler in him yet.
Fate cut a caper. Death won a bet.

The poem “Ace” embodies one of my favorite things – creative word play. And not in a way that makes me groan, but in a very clever way unique to the author.
