6:00 PM:   Open Letter/Three Percent, Best Translated Book Awards Finalists Event in the Welles-Brown Room, Rush Rhees Library

7:30 PM: Genesee Reading Series at Writers & Books, 7:30, featuring JP member Iris Miller, whose chapbook Angels Flying Backwards, was recently published by FootHills Publishing, and poet John Cieslinski, owner of Books ETC in Macedon.

Thursday: Lots going on!

5 PM: US Poet Laureate Philip Levine in the Hubbell Auditorium in Hutchison Hall on the University of Rochester’s River Campus. 

7 PM: The monthly Just Poets open mic, featuring Leah Zazulyer, at Barnes & Noble, Pittsford.

8:15 PM: Albuquerque poet Jules Nyquist with Just Poets member Claudia Stanek, featured in the Pure Kona open mic series at Flying Squirrel, 285 Clarissa Street, Rochester.


5 PM: Informal conversation with award-winning poets Forrest Gander and CD Wright in Neblette Conference Room, 7B-1104, Gannett bldg, RIT.

7 PM: Reading by Forrest Gander, followed by panel discussion with poets and artists, moderated by John Roche in the University Gallery, Vignelli Center, Booth 7A-2700, RIT. 

Saturday at 1:30 PM: Our big monthly Just Poets meeting, featuring Favorite Poems of our members, plus a recap of the Postcard Project. Don’t miss this one! (in our regular COP room at Student Center, St. John Fisher.

Sunday at 2 PM: Poetry Afternoon at Phelps Arts Center, featuring Just Poets members  Steve Tills, Sally Bittner Bonn, Lori Nolasco, and Patricia Roth Schwartz, free, refreshments.
