When Vowels turn to paint, Consonants to Paintbrush: powerpoint presented by  Kitty Jospé followed by exercises where you can try your hand at scale of vowel, circular calligrams or experimenting with responses to art that pack a punch into language.

The August Genesee Reading Series presents two authors who are close observers of nature and the workings of the world.   Take a break from the August heat and come join us to hear Hugh Mitchell and Michael Ketchek.

Featured reader, Donna Marbach, followed by an open mic.  Free and open to the public.

Donna M. Marbach has published non-fiction, fiction and poetry in a variety of anthologies and periodicals, including Blueline, HazMat Review, Silk Road, Knocking on the Silence, and the Dire Elegies.  Two of her poems have recently been chosen to appear in the five-year, best-of anthology of the on-line journal, The Centrifugal Eye.   Donna’s two chapbooks of her poems are Twisted Pair, co-authored with David Tiley, and The Silver Thimble.   She owns her own poetry press, Palettes and Quills, which is currently holding its third poetry chapbook contest.  Donna is also a visual artist, as well as co-founder and past president of Just Poets.
