Ruth Kessler grew up in Poland and Israel. Her chapbook Fire  Ashes  Wings was published by Finishing Line Press (2013), and over sixty poems, as well as poetry translations, appeared in journals and anthologies. Her poem “Hummingbird” was made into a limited-edition artist book by Sue Leopard. She has also written two full-length poetry collections, a short fiction collection, and a children’s book. Her awards include NYSCA Individual Artist Grants, as well as residencies from Yaddo, MacDowell, VCCA, the Saltonstall Foundation, and a VSC full fellowship. Most recently she was a guest poet at the 2012 Women in Music Festival.      www.RuthKessler.com
 
 
Victoria Korth is a poet and psychiatrist, writing and practicing in upstate New York. She recently completed a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing at the State University of New York, Brockport. Her thesis, Tender Warnings: Narrative Tension in Lyric Poetry,explores the relationship between narrative elements in her own life, biography revealed to her through her work as a physician, and the lyric impulse. Recent poems have appeared in the Worcester Review, Passager, Barrow Street, Grasslimb, Limestone Journal and elsewhere. She is the recipient of first prize in the 2012 International Poetry Contest, sponsored by Newtowner Magazine.
